WHERE DO I GET MY WOOD???

From scraps to hanging on the walls in a museum and galleries...

it’s recycling at it’s coolest!

fun factoid - did you know the Mona Lisa is painted on a piece of wood? Poplar to be exact.

I’m one lucky duck out there in the world. i can literally find a chunk of wood on the ground and then, within a few day, that chunk of wood is transformed, painted, and hanging on the walls in a museum!

People often ask me “where do you get all your wood?”

Well, it’s always kind of a search. It takes a good amount of effort, time, and a network of great generosity and support from people wanting to help out in doing something cool... (yesterday, a man named Dave pulled up to the museum with an entire truck load for me - it was awesome!) In general, it’s a lot of always keeping my eyes open but at the same time, I do have a couple fantastic sources like a cabinet maker friend of mine, Mike who gives me his scraps and mess ups and the huge support of Hawkeye Construction that saves lots of stuff to create spectacular pieces with!
